The Summer School aims to provide participants with the interdisciplinary knowledge and skills needed to understand the issues emerging from the development of the EU legal and policy framework on farming and food systems.
Specifically, by the end of the Summer School, participants will be able to: (a) handle the main EU legal aspects of the agri-food system and their impact on climate change adaptation and mitigation; (b) understand the landscape in which EU policies related to the food sector operate and of the role of EU Institutions in this framework; (c) manage the conceptual frameworks on the European model of Agriculture; (d) identify policy options based on the many challenges that impact on the EU agri-food system, such as climate change and food insecurity.
